The Bedwetting Sensor is the Key
It appears to be a simple part of the product but it is actually a complex design challenge. The sensor is exposed to urine every night, and then washed over and over again; it gets pulled, tugged and bend during sleep and it has the corrosive factor of urine to contend with. Anzacare has designed, evaluated, redesigned, and redesigned again the sensor for over 25 years. The result is the Urosensor™. A unique, patented non-metallic, completely moulded product. It can't corrode, irritate the skin, break or allow urine to leak inside. Because the urine cannot leak inside, then it can be washed quickly to be instantly reused; it does not get contaminated with the urine, and internal wiring to the alarm cannot become corroded. In order to be wireless it has to communicate with the alarm by a radio signal.This makes it necessary to have electronics and a battery inside. These have to be miniature to keep the sensor small for comfort. It's completely sealed to keep the urine out and the small battery has to last for a long time. The Urosensor™ remote is the only wireless sensor to have solved all of the complex issues that enable the sensor to be: smal; completely sealed; located right in the crotch of the underwear where it is triggered immediately by the urine; and for the battery to last for at least two years.
